  •  ABOUT US

We Built This Because We Believe Women Deserve More

Sanctuary Living Co. was founded by Chantell Hypolite-Leandre — a Houston entrepreneur,

healthcare administrator, and community advocate whose connection to

recovery is deeply personal.

  • OUR STANDARDS

Held to the Highest Standard

Sanctuary Living Co. is actively pursuing TROHN Level 2 certification — accreditation through the Texas RecoveryOriented Housing Network, the official Texas affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). TROHN-certified homes are evaluated against rigorous standards covering resident rights, program quality, physical environment, staff training,

and ethical operations.

We pursue this voluntary certification because it matters. Certified recovery residences produce measurably better outcomes for residents. Accreditation holds us accountable — to the women in our care, to our referral partners, and to the Houston community

TROHN Level 2 Certification — Pursuing | NARR-Affiliated Recovery Residence | Structured Women's Sober Living

"Sanctuary Living Co. is a recovery residence — not a clinical treatment facility. We do not provide medical, psychiatric, detoxification, or counseling services on-site. We are
the stable, structured home that makes staying sober possible after treatment. If you or
someone you love needs immediate medical or clinical care, please contact a licensed
treatment provider or call 988."

  • OUR STORY

A Mission Born From Family and Community

Chantell Hypolite-Leandre founded Sanctuary Living Co. after witnessing firsthand the challenges that women and families face when navigating recovery without safe, adequate housing and support.Having seen how the right environment can change everything — and how the absence of it can unravel even the strongest commitment to sobriety — she was moved to act. Not just as a professional, but as a neighbor and community member deeply invested in the wellbeing of the Houston community she has served for years.

Chantell brings a rare combination of credentials: a Master of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy with a specialty in Housing and Community Development from Texas Southern University, and ownership of a licensed home health company in Houston, Texas. Her expertise in regulatory compliance, policy development, staff supervision, and
vulnerable population care translates directly into how Sanctuary Living Co. is built and operated.Walner Leandre, Co-Founder and Co-Owner, brings additional business and operational expertise that strengthens the
organization's foundation.

  • COMMUNITY

 Rooted in Houston

Sanctuary Living Co. is not a business venture for us. It is a calling. Our founders are active members of the Houston community — volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, local shelters, and the Blogget Community Garden. We believe recovery housing done right is a neighborhood asset, and we show up as neighbors, not just operators
